3 A RESOLUTION TO CHANGE THE NAME OF RILEY DRIVE, FROM
4 JOHN BARROW ROAD TO WHERE THE STREET BECOMES A
5 PRIVATE STREET AT THE GATE TO THE WOODLAND HEIGHTS
6 FACILITIES, TO CARTI WAY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. (G-25-

9 WHEREAS, Central Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute (CARTI) has filed a petition to
10 change the name of this portion of Riley Drive to CARTI Way; and,
11 WHEREAS, Central Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute (CARTI) is constructing a new
12 facility on Riley Drive; and,
13 WHEREAS, change in street name will not affect any other properties other than the CARTI
14 property and CARTI has agreed to install directional signage at the intersection of the street with
15 John Barrow Road to assist motorists seeking the facilities at the east end of the street; and,
16 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission, at its January 15, 2015, meeting, voted to
17 recommend approval of the proposed street name change with a vote of 8 ayes, 0 nays and 3 absent.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
19 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS.
20 SECTION 1. The name of that portion of Riley Drive, from John Barrow Road to where the
21 street becomes a private street at the gate to the Woodland Heights facilities, is hereby changed to
22 CARTI Way.
23 SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and the
24 City Manager is hereby directed to notify all departments of said change.
