14056 1 RESOLUTION NO. 14,056 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ADVOCACY AND COMMUNICATION 5 SOLUTIONS, LLC, FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE 6 HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($125,000.00), TO 7 FACILITATE THE PLANNING PROCESS AND CREATE A 8 COMPREHENSIVE YOUTH MASTER PLAN; AND FOR OTHER 9 PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing Prevention, Intervention, and Youth 12 Development Programs and services to enhance public safety and community-building, and, 13 WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Request for Qualifications(RFQ), Bid No. 14186 to solicit 14 qualifications for a consultant to facilitate the process and create a comprehensive, sustainable, long-term 15 Youth Master Plan; and 16 WHEREAS, it is in the City's interests to enter into a contract with Advocacy & Communication 17 Solutions, LLC, under such terms; 18 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Advocacy & Communication 21 Solutions, LLC, to provide planning and the creation of a Youth Master Plan, for an amount not to exceed 22 One Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($125,000.00), upon approval of the contract by the City 23 Attorney. 24 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 28 resolution. 29 Section 3. Funds for these programs are from the 2015 PIT Allocation, account number S 15A423. 30 Section 4. Repealer.
