3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH CRUSE UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT
5 FOR THE PURCHASE OF TEN (10) L3 NIGHT VISION DEVICES AND
6 MOUNTS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT SWAT
7 TEAM, IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED ELEVEN THOUSAND,
8 THREE HUNDRED TWENTY DOLLARS ($111,320.00); AND FOR
9 OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock City Manager's Office/Emergency Management Division is committed
12 to improving emergency response operations throughout the City; and,
13 WHEREAS, in order to accomplish this goal, the City Manager's Office/Emergency Management
14 proposes the purchase of ten (10) L3 Night Vision Devices and mounts for the Little Rock Police
15 Department(LRPD) SWAT Team; and,
16 WHEREAS, Bid #14134 was issued and Cruse Uniforms and Equipment submitted the lowest
17 responsible and responsive bid for the items requested for the LRPD SWAT Team, in the amount of One
18 Hundred Eleven Thousand, Three Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars($111,320.00);
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
22 Cruse Uniforms and Equipment for the purchase of ten (10) L3 Night Vision Devices and mounts for the
23 Little Rock Police Department SWAT Team, in the amount of One Hundred Eleven Thousand, Three
24 Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars($111,320.00).
25 Section 2. 100% of the funding for this purchase is provided through the State Homeland Security
26 Grant Program with no fiscal impact on the City of Little Rock.
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
33 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
