3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD
4 A CONTRACT TO COVE CREEK CONSTRUCTION, INC., IN THE
5 AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED SIX THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED
6 THIRTEEN AND 40/100 DOLLARS ($106,913.40), FOR THE ELM
7 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT FROM 26TH STREET TO 27TH
8 STREET; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for Project No. 13-1-067, Elm Street Improvements (26`h Street to
11 27th Street), Bid 14-194; and,
12 WHEREAS, Cove Creek Construction, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement for Cove Creek
17 Construction, Inc., the Elm Street Improvement Project in the amount of One Hundred Six Thousand,
18 Nine Hundred Thirteen and 40/100 Dollars ($106,913.40), which is the base bid price of Eighty-Nine
19 Thousand,Ninety-Four and 50/100 Dollars($89,094.50), plus 20% contingencies.
20 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is from the %-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and
21 Compensating Use Tax as authorized by Resolution No. 13,699.
22 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
23 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
28 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
29 SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
