3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD
4 A CONTRACT TO REDSTONE CONSTRUCTION GROUP, INC., IN
5 THE AMOUNT OF SEVENTY THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED FORTY
6 DOLLARS ($70,440.00), FOR DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS IN THE
7 2400 BLOCK OF DAISY GATSON BATES DRIVE; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES

10 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for Project NO. 13-1-016, Daisy Gatson Bates Drainage
11 Improvements, Bid No. 14-191; and,
12 WHEREAS, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
13 specifications.
14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone
17 Construction Group, Inc., for drainage improvements in the 2400 block of Daisy Gatson Bates Drive in an
18 amount up to Seventy Thousand, Four Hundred Forty Dollars ($70,440.00), which is the base bid amount
19 of Fifty-Eight Thousand. Seven Hundred Dollars($58,700.00), plus 20% contingencies.
20 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is from the %-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and
21 Compensating Use Tax as authorized by Resolution No. 13,699.
22 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
23 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
28 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
29 SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
