W , PULASKI COUNTY CIRCUIT/COUNTY CLERK zN . 94444 Q= Fees $20.00 41:•`:14:• , -� •'�Q, RESOLUTION NO. 14,022 '2 COUN,'\P``��`• \ 3 A RESOLUTION TO PERMIT THE WOMEN'S CITY CLUB TO 4 PURCHASE THE CITY'S RIGHTS IN AN HISTORIC FACADE 5 EASEMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 6 7 WHEREAS, pursuant to the City's Historic Façade Grant Program it was agreed that a grant should 8 be made to the Women's City Club to preserve the historic façade on their building located at 401 South 9 Scott Street within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and, 10 WHEREAS, pursuant to Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 11,369 (September 3, 2002), formal entry 11 into the agreement and the grant of an historic easement to the City was accomplished; and, 12 WHEREAS, in 2014 the Women's City Club indicated a desire to make certain modifications to the 13 windows of the structure,and as a result these changes were permitted pursuant to the terms of Little Rock, 14 Ark., Resolution No. 13,980 (October 6, 2014); and, 15 WHEREAS, shortly afterwards the City was notified that the Women's City Club would like to buy 16 back the easement from the City pursuant to Paragraph 13 of the document; 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. Pursuant to Paragraph 13 of the Historic Façade Grant Easement filed of record in the 20 office of the Pulaski County Circuit Clerk and Recorder as Instrument No. 200314031 at Page 200393,and 21 more specifically Pages 200403-200404, the Board of Directors has determined the revocation of this 22 Historic Façade Permit will not threaten any other outstanding Historic Façade Grant, and that it is the 23 parties best interests to allow this revocation. 24 Section 2. Upon receipt of an amount equal to the amount of the grant with 6% simple interest from 25 the date of the grant to the date of this resolution, the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute a 26 document to repeal the Façade Grant Easement referred to in Section 1; this amount is Thirty-Four 27 Thousand, One Hundred Ninety-Six and 16/100 Dollars($34,196.16). 28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 32 resolution. lPage 1 of2l 1 Section 4. Repealer.
