3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH AOS FOR THE PURCHASE OF NINETEEN
5 (19) CISCO SWITCHES AND INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION
6 ASSISTANCE, UTILIZING THE ARKANSAS STATE PURCHASING
7 CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the Information Technology Department needs to purchase nineteen (19) Cisco
10 Switches and installation and configuration assistance to replace devices on the City's network; and,
11 WHEREAS, these switches are being purchased to support ten (10) major City facilities that need
12 replacements; and,
13 WHEREAS, the nineteen (19) Cisco Switches can be purchased from AOS for the total amount of
14 One Hundred Twenty-One Thousand, Nine Hundred Sixty and 82/100 Dollars, ($121,960.82), with
15 pricing from Arkansas State Contract CISCO-SP-11-0185.
16 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to purchase nineteen (19) Cisco Switches and installation
19 and configuration assistance from AOS, for the amount of One Hundred Twenty-One Thousand, Nine
20 Hundred Sixty and 82/100 Dollars ($121,960.82), by utilizing Arkansas State Purchasing Contract
21 CISCO-SP-11-0185;
22 Section 2. Funds for the switches and professional services are available from Information
23 Technology Operational Sales Tax Account 103001-72400.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
30 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
