13989 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,989 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXTEND 4 CONTRACTS WITH ONE (1) ORGANIZATION TO PROVIDE 5 NEIGHBORHOOD-BASED AFTERSCHOOL/OUT-OF-SCHOOL TIME 6 EXPANDED YOUTH PROGRAM SERVICES TO LITTLE ROCK 7 YOUTH AGES 6-11; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing Prevention, Intervention, and Youth 10 Development Programs and services to enhance public safety and community-building; and, 11 WHEREAS, the City has contracts with service providers that may be extended for one (1) 12 additional contract term upon appropriation, satisfactory performance and mutual agreement of the 13 parties; 14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 16 Section 1. Contracts for Neighborhood-Based Afterschool/Out-of-School Time Expanded Youth 17 Programs are hereby awarded to the following organizations: 18 Organization Amount 19 20 LR Boys/Girls Clubs-Mitchell (Exp_6-1 l) $75,000.00 21 LR Boys/Girls Clubs-Penick(Exp_6-11) $75,000.00 22 LR Boys/Girls Clubs-Thrasher(Exp_6-11) $75,000.00 23 LR Boys/Girls Clubs-Whetstone(Exp_6-11) $75,000.00 24 25 TOTAL $300,000.00 26 Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to extend contracts with the Boys and Girls Clubs of 27 Central Arkansas to provide Neighborhood-Based/Out-of-School Time Expanded Program Services, 28 upon approval of the contract by the City Attorney. 29 Section 3. Funds for these programs are from The 2014 PIT Allocation, account number S 15A320. 30 Section 4. The term of each contract shall be October 1, 2014,through September 30, 2015. 31 Section 5. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be 32 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this 33 resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or 34 unconstitutional were not originally a part of this resolution. 35 Section 6. Repealer.
