3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH RIVER CITY CONSTRUCTION, PLLC, IN
5 AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $200,160.00, FOR THE
6 CONSTRUCTION OF TWO (2) SALT STORAGE BUILDINGS WITHIN
7 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, these two (2) Salt Storage Buildings will allow the City to purchase sand/salt materials
11 during the off-season and to strategically stockpile those materials in an effort to improve Public Works'
12 response during inclement weather snow/ice events; and,
13 WHEREAS, River City Construction, PLLC, was the low bidder at One Hundred Sixty-Six
14 Thousand, Eight Hundred Dollars($166,800.00), Bid No. 14154, meeting specifications;
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with the low bidder,
18 River City Construction, PLLC, in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Thousand, One Hundred Sixty
19 Dollars ($200,160.00); One Hundred Sixty-Six Thousand, Eight Hundred Dollars ($166,800.00), plus
20 20%contingency, for the construction of two(2) Salt Storage Buildings.
21 Section 2. Funding for this project is available from funding in Public Works Operation's 2014
22 Annual Budget Capital Streets, Alleys, & Bridges Account.
23 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
24 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
25 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
26 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
27 resolution.
28 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
29 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
30 Section 5. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
