13953 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,953 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH TODAY'S OFFICE, A STATE CONTRACT 5 VENDOR, FOR THE PURCHASE OF OFFICE FURNITURE FOR THE 6 SECOND FLOOR OF THE 12TH STREET STATION, IN THE TOTAL 7 AMOUNT OF SIXTY THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE 8 AND 38/100 DOLLARS ($60,121.38); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the architectural firm of Roark, Perkins, Perry and Yelvington contacted Today's 11 Office, a State Contract Office Furniture Vendor, to supply a design diagram and cost projections for 12 specific pieces of furniture for the second floor of the new 12th Street Station; and, 13 WHEREAS, this design and cost projection was made in conjunction with the architects for this 14 project and members of the Little Rock Police Department who will occupy the station; and, 15 WHEREAS, Today's Office has submitted a proposal to provide a design diagram and cost 16 projections for specific pieces of furniture for the second floor of the new 12th Street Station, in the 17 amount of Sixty Thousand, One Hundred Twenty-One and 38/100 Dollars ($60,121.38), which includes 18 shipping, installation and taxes. 19 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 22 Today's Office to supply a design diagram and specific items of furniture for the second floor of the new 23 12' Street Station, in the total amount of Sixty Thousand, One Hundred Twenty-One and 38/100 Dollars 24 ($60,121.38),which includes shipping, installation and taxes. 25 Section 2. Funding for this project will come from the 2014 Justice Assistance Grant which was 26 specifically structured for this purchase. 27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 31 resolution. 32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent 33 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
