13951 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,951 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH DOUGAN ASPHALT PAVING COMPANY, 5 INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE 6 THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($175,900.00), TO 7 CONSTRUCT A TRAIL IN WAR MEMORIAL PARK AS PART OF THE 8 WAR MEMORIAL PARK MASTER PLAN; AND FOR OTHER 9 PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, in the development and adoption of the War Memorial Park Master Plan, the trail was 12 recommended as part of the planning process and was included in the final Master Plan; and, 13 WHEREAS, Public Bid #14148 was held for the construction of a new trail at War Memorial Park 14 and four(4) bids were received, with the most responsible and responsive bid being submitted by Dougan 15 Asphalt Paving Company, Inc., in the amount of One Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand, Nine Hundred 16 Dollars($175,900.00); 17 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 20 Dougan Asphalt Paving Company, Inc., in the amount of One Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand, Nine 21 Hundred Dollars ($175,900.00) to construct a trail in War Memorial Park as part of the War Memorial 22 Park Master Plan. 23 Section 2. Funding for this project is available from a State General Improvement Fund that was 24 awarded in 2012. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4.Repealer.
