13925 2014041410 Received: 7/18/2014 3:16:27 PM Recorded: 07/18/2014 03:22:54 PM Filed& Recorded in Official Records of Larry Crane, PULASKI COUNTY CIRCUIT/COUNTY CLERK 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,925 Fees$20.00 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT TITLE TO PROPERTY DONATED TO•,..5:\ CIRCU",% 4 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, BY SPECIAL WARRANT, • 5 DEED, TO BE USED FOR NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATIK 6 PROGRAMS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. e 8 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has stated as one of its goals a desire to provide for 9 neighborhood revitalization, and has taken special efforts to accomplish this goal through its use of 10 various City and Federal Funds, and in affirmative actions such as the creation of a Land Bank 11 Commission; and, 12 WHEREAS, in order to accomplish this goal it is required that properties be obtained by the City in 13 areas that are appropriate for revitalization; and, 14 WHEREAS, Wells Fargo Bank,N.A., has indicated its desire to donate to the City of Little Rock the 15 property located at 1415 Valmar Street, Little Rock, Arkansas, 72204; and, 16 WHEREAS, the City wishes to accept the property for use in its neighborhood revitalization efforts; 17 and, 18 WHEREAS, the City has obtained a full title search which revealed valid title to the property and no 19 significant title issues; and, 20 WHEREAS,the parcel is a 7,000 square-foot vacant lot located within the Land Bank's Focus Area; 21 and, 22 WHEREAS, the property is in close proximity to a Neighborhood Stabilization Program 2 (NSP2) 23 new home construction; and, 24 WHEREAS,the 2013 Real Estate Taxes have been paid in full; and, 25 WHEREAS,there are no outstanding City liens filed against the property; and, 26 WHEREAS, state law requires that the City accept property by resolution adopted by the Board of 27 Directors; 28 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 29 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 30 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby adopts this resolution to accept title to the property located 31 at 1415 Valmar Street which has been offered as a donation to the City of Little Rock. 32 Section 2. The property shall be used for a public purpose, specifically for City revitalization 33 programs. [Page 1 of 21 1 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 2 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 3 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 4 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 5 ordinance. 6 Section 4. Repealer.
