13927 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,927 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF NINETY-SIX (96)- 5 GALLON SOLID WASTE CONTAINERS AND ISSUE AN ANNUAL 6 PURCHASE ORDER FOR ADDITIONAL CARTS,AS NEEDED; AND FOR 7 OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, The Public Works Department Solid Waste Services Division must periodically 10 purchase new solid waste containers for delivery to new customers, replace stolen carts, replace damaged 11 carts, and meet the demand for additional carts; and 12 WHEREAS,the City of little Rock received bids for the purchase of the containers,and the lowest 13 responsible and responsive bid meeting minimum specifications for Bid #C 14009 was received from 14 Cascade Engineering, in the amount of Forty-Eight and 68/100 Dollars($48.68)per container; and 15 WHEREAS, the bid allows for two (2) additional one (1)-year renewals of the annual purchase 16 order if both parties are agreeable to the annual renewal; 17 NOW,THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter a contract for the 20 purchase of ninety-six (96)-gallon solid waste containers from Cascade Engineering, for the amount of 21 Forty-Eight and 68/100 Dollars ($48.68) per container, to issue an annual purchase order for additional 22 carts as needed, and to allow for two (2) additional, one (1)-year renewals if agreeable to both the City of 23 Little Rock and Cascade Engineering. 24 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated from Account 603110-60170. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, 26 or word of this statement is declared or adjudges to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinance, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent 31 with the provision of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. 32 ADOPTED: July 15,2014 33 [Page 1 of 2l 1 AT S .
