13922 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,922 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SUNBELT FIRE, FOR THE PURCHASE OF 5 FOUR (4) E-ONE CUSTOM PUMPER TRUCKS AND ONE (1) E-ONE HP 6 100 PLATFORM TRUCK IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF TWO 7 MILLION, NINE HUNDRED TWENTY-TWO DOLLARS ($2,922,000.00), 8 FOR USE BY THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT, BY 9 UTILIZING THE HOUSTON-GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL (HGAC) 10 COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT; AND FOR OTHER 11 PURPOSES. 12 13 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department needs four (4) E-One Custom Pumper Trucks and one 14 (1) E-One HP 100 Platform Truck to replace aging, front-line fire units; and, 15 WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Department utilized the Houston-Galveston Area Council (HGAC) 16 Cooperative Purchasing Agreement to determine Sunbelt Fire would provide optimal pricing and delivery 17 options for the purchase of these units; 18 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 21 Sunbelt Fire, by utilizing the Houston Galveston Area Council (HGAC) Cooperative Purchasing 22 Agreement, for the purchase of four (4) E-One Custom Pumper Trucks and one (1) E-One HP 100 23 Platform Truck for the total amount of Two Million, Nine Hundred Twenty-Two Thousand Dollars 24 ($2,922,000.00),to replace aging, front-line fire units. 25 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in 2014 Short-Term Financing. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 Section 4. Repealer.
