13921 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,921 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SUMMIT TRUCK GROUP FOR THE 5 PURCHASE OF TWO (2), TWELVE (12) CUBIC-YARD DUMP TRUCKS 6 WITH SNOW REMOVAL ATTACHMENTS, AT A PRICE OF ONE 7 HUNDRED THIRTY-SIX THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED NINETY-FOUR 8 AND 60/100 DOLLARS EACH ($136,694.60) EACH, FOR A TOTAL OF 9 TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-THREE THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED 10 EIGHTY-NINE AND 20/100 DOLLARS ($273,389.20) FOR THE PUBLIC 11 WORKS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 12 13 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is in need of two (2), twelve (12) Cubic-Yard Dump 14 Trucks with snow removal attachments to replace older units with high maintenance expenses and 15 excessive down time; and, 16 WHEREAS, Bid #14134 was issued for the purchase of two (2), twelve (12) Cubic-Yard Dump 17 Trucks with snow removal attachment, and Summit Truck Group submitted the most responsive and 18 responsible bid in the amount of One Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand, Six Hundred Ninety-Four and 19 60/100 Dollars ($136,694.60) for each unit, for a total of Two Hundred Seventy-Three Thousand, Three 20 Hundred Eighty-Nine and 20/100 Dollars($273,389.20) for the two units; 21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 23 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 24 Summit Truck Group for the purchase of two (2), twelve (12) Cubic-Yard Dump Trucks with snow 25 removal attachment, in the amount of One Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand, Six Hundred Ninety-Four and 26 60/100 Dollars ($136,694.60) for each unit, for a total of Two Hundred Seventy-Three Thousand, Three 27 Hundred Eighty-Nine and 20/100 Dollars($273,389.20) for the two(2) units. 28 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Public Works Department Capital Streets 29 Alleys and Bridges Account. 30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 33 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the [Page 1 of 2] 1 resolution. 2 Section 4. Repealer.
