3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH PIERCE CONSTRUCTION, INC., TO
5 PROVIDE HVAC REPAIRS ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS; AND FOR
6 OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, an invitation to bid on an annual contract, under Bid No. C 14005, was issued to provide
9 HVAC repairs on an hourly basis as-needed, and Pierce Construction, Inc., submitted the lowest
10 quotation at Sixty Dollars ($60.00) per hour for Journey Man labor and Twenty-Six Dollars ($26.00) per
11 hour for Helper labor; and
12 WHEREAS, the initial term of the contract will be one (1)-year and may be extended for an
13 additional two(2), one(1)-year periods, upon agreement of the parties;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
17 Pierce Construction, Inc., to provide HVAC repairs on an hourly basis as-needed, at the rate of Sixty
18 ($60.00)per hour for Journey Man labor and Twenty-Six Dollars ($26.00) per hour for Helper labor, with
19 the initial term of the contract being one (1)-year from date of award, which may be extended for an
20 additional two(2), one(1)-year periods upon agreement of the parties.
21 Section 2. Funds are available from Building Services Operating Budget.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
23 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
26 resolution.
27 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
28 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
