3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH JCI CONSTRUCTION, INC., IN THE
5 AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED SEVENTEEN THOUSAND, FIVE
6 HUNDRED SIXTY-ONE AND 30/100 DOLLARS ($117,561.30), FOR THE
7 FOR THE SOUTH MEADOWCLIFF SIDEWALK PROJECT (SOUTH
8 MEADOWCLIFF AND SHERATON DRIVES); AND FOR OTHER
9 PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for the construction of new sidewalks in the Meadowcliff
12 Neighborhood along South Meadowcliff Drive and Sheraton Drive, Project Number 13-7-50, Bid
13 Number 14-129.
14 WHEREAS, JCI Construction, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
15 specifications in the amount of One-Hundred Seventeen Thousand, Five Hundred Sixty-One and 30/100
16 Dollars ($117,561.30); Ninety-Seven Thousand, Nine Hundred Sixty-Seven and 75/100 Dollars
17 ($97,967.75)plus 20% contingencies.
18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with JCI
21 Construction, Inc. for South Meadowcliff Sidewalks (South Meadowcliff& Sheraton Drive). Amount for
22 construction services is One-Hundred Seventeen Thousand, Five Hundred Sixty-One and 30/100 Dollars
23 ($117,561.30); Ninety-Seven Thousand,Nine Hundred Sixty-Seven and 75/100 Dollars($97,967.75) plus
24 20%contingencies.
25 SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available from the 2012 Vs-Cent Capital Sales Tax Project
26 Funds as authorized by Resolution No. 13,699.
27 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
28 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
33 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
