3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO CONTRACTS WITH PULASKI COUNTY YOUTH SERVICES TO
5 PROVIDE NEIGHBORHOOD-BASED AFTER-SCHOOL/OUT-OF-
6 SCHOOL TIME PROGRAMS FOR LITTLE ROCK YOUTH AGES
7 TWELVE (12) — SEVENTEEN (17) IN THE WEST TARGET
8 NEIGHBORHOOD; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing Prevention, Intervention, and Youth
11 Development Programs and services to enhance public safety and community-building, and
12 WHEREAS, the City advertised a formal Bid No. 14109R, ages twelve (12) — seventeen (17), to
13 solicit proposals for Neighborhood-Based After-School/Out-of-School Time Programs for Little Rock
14 youth ages twelve(12)—seventeen(17)residing in the west target neighborhood, and
15 WHEREAS, a review committee met and reviewed the proposals submitted on May 15, 2014, and
16 recommends Pulaski County Youth Services for a contract award.
17 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. Contract for Neighborhood-Based After-School/Out-of-School Time Programs is hereby
20 awarded to Pulaski County Youth Services in an amount not to exceed Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars
21 ($75,000.00).
22 Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with this organization providing
23 Neighborhood-Based After-School/Out-of-School Time Programs and services, upon approval of the
24 contract by the City Attorney.
25 Section 3. Funds for these programs are from the 2014 PIT Allocation, account number S15A297.
26 Section 4. The term of each contract shall be June 1, 2014,to May 31, 2015.
27 Section 5. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be
28 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this
29 resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
30 unconstitutional were not originally a part of this resolution.
31 Section 6. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any
32 provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
