13897 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,897 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH RED RIVER DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP, 5 LLC, FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIFTEEN (15) PURSUIT-RATED 6 DODGE CHARGERS FOR USE BY THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE 7 DEPARTMENT PRICED AT TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND, SEVEN 8 HUNDRED FIFTY-TWO DOLLARS ($25,752.00) EACH, FOR A TOTAL 9 AMOUNT OF THREE HUNDRED EIGHTY-SIX THOUSAND, TWO 10 HUNDRED EIGHTY DOLLARS ($386,280.00), BY UTILIZING THE 11 ARKANSAS STATE PURCHASING CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER 12 PURPOSES. 13 14 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department is in need of fifteen (15) pursuit-rated vehicles to 15 replace older units with high maintenance costs; and, 16 WHEREAS, by utilizing the Arkansas State Purchasing Contract, the City of Little Rock was able to 17 purchase fifteen (15) pursuit-rated Dodge Chargers at Twenty-five Thousand, Seven Hundred Fifty-Two 18 Dollars ($25,752.00) each, for a total of Three Hundred Eighty-Six Thousand, Two Hundred Eighty 19 Dollars($386,280.00)for the Little Rock Police Department. 20 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 21 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 22 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 23 Red River Dodge Chrysler Jeep, LLC, for the purchase of fifteen (15) pursuit-rated Dodge Chargers at 24 Twenty-Five Thousand, Seven Hundred Fifty-Two Dollars ($25,752.00) each, for a total of Three 25 Hundred Eighty-Six Thousand, Two Hundred Eighty Dollars ($386,280.00) for use by the Little Rock 26 Police Department. 27 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 2014 collection of 3/8-Cent Sales Tax. 28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 32 resolution. 33 Section 4. Repealer.
