3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AN ANNUAL PURCHASE AWARD
4 FOR LEASED VEHICLES BY THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE
5 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Little Rock Police Department to use vehicles for undercover
8 Officers, and to lease these vehicles on a periodic basis; and,
9 WHEREAS, pursuant to Bid No. C14004 there were four (4) different bidders, and Professional
10 Leasing Company of Little Rock was determined to be the lowest responsible and responsive bidder that
11 could meet concerns about local vendor reliability and service;
12 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
13 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
14 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Professional Leasing
15 Company of Little Rock for a one(1)-year contract to lease vehicles to be used by the undercover Officers
16 of the Little Rock Police Department.
17 Section 2.
18 (a) Funds for the amounts necessary to lease these vehicles are available in the 2014
19 Departmental Budget of the Little Rock Police Department;
20 (b) The total funds available, if needed, is Three Hundred and Two Thousand, Four
21 Hundred Dollars($302,400.00);
22 (c) This contract can be extended for two (2) additional one (1)-year periods by mutual
23 agreement of the parties.
24 Section 3. Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
25 phrase,or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration
26 or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
