3 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A LEASE PURCHASE AGREEMENT
4 WITH JERRY PATE TURF AND IRRIGATION, INC., OF SEVEN
5 HUNDRED NINETEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS AND 64/100 DOLLARS
6 ($719,000.64) FOR GROUNDS EQUIPMENT FOR GOLF COURSES; AND
7 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department needs to purchase equipment to
10 maintain the grounds at City golf courses,and has determined that the most effective and economical way
11 to do so is to enter into a lease purchase agreement with Jerry Pate Turf and Irrigation, Inc.,pursuant to a
12 state bid contract; and,
13 WHEREAS, the total amount of the lease payments is Seven Hundred and Nineteen Thousand and
14 64/100 Dollars($719,000.64);
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a lease purchase agreement, in a form
18 acceptable to the City Attorney,with Jerry Pate Turf and Irrigation,Inc.,in an amount not to exceed Seven
19 Hundred and Nineteen Thousand and 64/100 Dollars ($719,000.64), which will be paid at the rate of
20 Nineteen Thousand,Nine Hundred and Seventy-Two and 24/100 Dollars($19,972.24)for a period of thirty-
21 six(36)months,pursuant to terms available to the City through state contract.
22 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are allocated as a part of the 5-8 Cent Operational Sales and
23 Compensating Use Tax.
24 Section 3. Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
25 phrase,or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such declaration
26 or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
