3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH GLOVER'S TRUCK PARTS AND
5 EQUIPMENT COMPANY, IN THE AMOUNT OF FIFTY-NINE
6 THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY-SEVEN THOUSAND AND
7 13/100 DOLLARS ($59,437.13), TO REPLACE A DIESEL ENGINE WITH
8 A COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS ENGINE IN ONE (1) ROLL-OFF
9 WRECKER TRUCK, FOR THE FLEET SERVICES DEPARTMENT;
10 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Department needs to replace a diesel engine with a Compressed
13 Natural Gas Engine in order to upgrade and maximize the capabilities of the 1999 model Roll-Off
14 Wrecker Truck currently in use by the Fleet Services Department; and,
15 WHEREAS,the competitive bidding process was utilized to determine that Glover's Truck Parts and
16 Equipment Company provided optimal pricing and delivery options for this project, in the amount of
17 Fifty-Nine Thousand, Four Hundred Thirty-Seven and 13/100 Dollars ($59,437.13);
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
21 Glover's Truck Parts and Equipment in the amount of Fifty-Nine Thousand, Four Hundred Thirty-Seven
22 and 13/100 Dollars($59,437.13),to replace a diesel engine with a Compressed Natural Gas Engine in one
23 (1)Roll-Off Wrecker Truck for the Fleet Services Department.
24 Section 2. Funds for the purchase of this unit are allocated as follows: 50%, Twenty-Three
25 Thousand, Seven Hundred Seventy-Four and 85/100 Dollars ($23,774.85), to be reimbursed through the
26 Go RED! Grant provided by the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality; and 60%, Thirty-Five
27 Thousand, Six Hundred Sixty-Two and 28/100 Dollars ($35,662.28), to be paid from the Fleet Services
28 Replacement Fund.
29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
30 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
31 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
32 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
33 resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
2 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
