3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH LANDERS FORD FOR THE PURCHASE OF
5 TWO (2), ONE (1)-TON TRUCKS ON 4X4 CHASSIS FOR THE AMOUNT
6 OF TWENTY-SEVEN THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED NINETY-EIGHT
7 DOLLARS ($27,998.00) EACH, FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF FIFTY-
8 FIVE THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED NINETY-SIX DOLLARS
9 ($55,996.00), FOR USE BY THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT,
10 UTILIZING THE ARKANSAS STATE PURCHASING CONTRACT; AND
11 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

13 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is in need of two (2), One (1)-Ton Trucks on 4x4 Chassis
14 to replace older units with high maintenance expenses and excessive down time; and,
15 WHEREAS, by utilizing the Arkansas State Purchasing Contract, the City of Little Rock was able to
16 purchase two (2), One (1)-Ton Trucks on 4x4 Chassis for the amount of Twenty-Seven Thousand, Nine
17 Hundred Ninety-Eight Dollars ($27,998.00) each, for a total amount of Fifty-Five Thousand, Nine
18 Hundred Ninety-Six Dollars ($55,996.00);
19 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
21 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
22 Landers Ford to purchase two (2), One (1)-Ton Trucks on 4x4 Chassis for the amount of Twenty-Five
23 Thousand, One Hundred Fifty-Nine Dollars ($25,159.00) each, for a total amount of Fifty-Five Thousand,
24 Nine Hundred Ninety-Six Dollars($55,996.00) for the use of the Public Works Department.
25 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Public Works Department Capital Streets,
26 Alleys and Bridges Account.
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
33 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
