3 A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT JACK EAST, III, TO THE BOARD OF
4 COMMISSIONERS FOR THE RIVERDALE LEVEE IMPROVEMENT
5 DISTRICT NO. 134; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, Riverdale Levee Improvement District No. 134, created pursuant to Little Rock, Ark.,
8 Ordinance No. 12,932(May 21, 1974), is required to have three(3) Commissioners; and,
9 WHEREAS, the commissioners of record recommend that the City appoint Mr. Jack East, III, a
10 property owner within the District, as an additional member of the Commission;
11 NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
12 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
13 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby appoints Jack East, III, to a position as Commissioner on
14 the Riverdale Levee Improvement District No. 134 Board of Commissioners.
15 Section 2. That such Commissioner shall qualify by taking the Oath of Office prescribed by Arkansas
16 Law and shall enter upon and conduct his duties all as prescribed by applicable law.
17 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
18 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
19 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
20 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
21 resolution.
22 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
23 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
