13869 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,869 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SUNBELT FIRE, IN THE AMOUNT OF 5 FOUR HUNDRED NINETY-TWO THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED 6 DOLLARS ($492,500.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) E-ONE 7 CUSTOM PUMPER ON A CYCLONE II CHASSIS, FOR THE LITTLE 8 ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE HOUSTON- 9 GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL (HGAC) COOPERATIVE PURCHASING 10 AGREEMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS, Fleet Services is in need of an E-One Custom Pumper on a Cyclone II Chassis for the 13 Little Rock Fire Department that will replace an older unit with high maintenance expenses and excessive 14 down time; and, 15 WHEREAS, by utilizing the Houston-Galveston Area Council (HGAG), the City Fleet Services can 16 purchase the E-One Cyclone II Custom Pumper from Sunbelt Fire for the amount of Four Hundred 17 Ninety-Two Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars($492,500.00); 18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 19 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 21 Sunbelt Fire for the purchase of one (1) E-One Custom Pumper on a Cyclone II Chassis that will replace 22 an older unit with high maintenance expenses and excessive down time, utilizing the Houston-Galveston 23 Area Council (HGAC) Cooperative Purchasing Agreement, for the amount of Four Hundred Ninety-Two 24 Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars($492,500.00) 25 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 5/8-Cent Sales Tax account. 26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 30 resolution. 31 Section 4. Repealer.
