A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF KIRK
PLASTERING COMPANY FOR CERTAIN WORK
ON BEAR MOATS IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
ZOO; AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT AND PAYMENT;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was advertised according
to law and bids received pursuant thereto for certain con-
struction described as the construction of Bear Moats in
the City of Little Rock Zoo according to the plans and
specifications prepared by the architects employed by the
City of Little Rock; and,
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bid
submitted was that of Kirk Plastering Company in the
no/100
sum of Eighteen Thousand Eight Hundred and Dollars ($18.800.00);
and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock to award a contract to Kirk
Plastering Company for the performance of the work
in accordance with the plans and specifications and to
authorize payment for the said work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The bid of Kirk Plastering Company
no/100
in the sum of Eighteen Thousand Eight Hundred and Dollars
($18,800.00 ) for construction of Bear Moats in the City
of Little Rock Zoo, in accordance with the plans and speci-
fications made a part of the bidding documents prepared by
architects employed by the City of Little Rock, is hereby
accepted.

SECTIUE 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute for and in behalf of
the City of Little Rock, a certain contract with the
said Ark Plastering Company for the
performance of the work and construction of Bear Moats
which contract shall be in form and substance as follows:

The undersigned , in compliance with your invitation for bids
for the construction of Animal Moats and Pools , having examined
the specifications with related documents , and the site of the
proposed work , and being fariliar with all of the conditions
surrounding the construction of the proposed project , including
the availability of materials and labor, hereby proposes to
furnish all labor, materials , supplies , plant , etc. , and to
construct the project in accordance with the contract documents,
within, to cover all deneral Construction work. These prices
are to cover all expenses incurred in nerformi.np the work re-
quired under the contract documents , of which this proposal is
a part.
Bidder hereby agrees to commence work under this contract on a
date to be specified in a written "work order" of the Architect
and to fully complete the nroiect within the consecutive cal-
endar days listed on this proposal .

SECTION 3. Upon progress and completion of the
work called for in the plans and specifications, the City
Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and
directed to make payment according to the terms of the
contract from time to time and upon final completion of
the work, and are directed to issue the necessary warrant
or warrants in payment of the contract price.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be in full
force and effect from and after its adoption.
