3384 f� RESOLUTION NO. 3,384 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A ROADWAY ON PARK LANDS WITHIN ALLSOPP PARK; LIMITING COSTS THEREOF TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The right and franchise is hereby granted to J. Wythe Walker to construct a roadway over and on certain lands dedicated for park purposes and now used as a part of Allsopp Park in the City of Little Rock described generally as a strip of land approximately forty feet (40' ) wide and approximately three hundred feet (300 ' ) long and in a gen- erally straight line between the now dead end segments of Cedar Hill Road so as to construct a continuous roadway from Cantrell Road to the top of the hill heretofore serviced by the older segment of Cedar Hill Road. SECTION 2. This right and franchise is conditioned upon the approval of plans and specifications by the City Manager for the said roadway which shall call generally for a twenty-four foot (24') permanent roadway and eight foot (8 ' ) sealed shoulders with drainage facilities. Upon such approval of plans and specifications, the City of Little Rock will participate in the cost of said construction to the extent of fifty per cent (50/0) of the cost thereof, or to the extent of Two Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($2,000.00), whichever is the lesser. - 2 - SECTION 3. By undertaking the construction of the said roadway, J. Wythe Walker shall save and hold the City of Little Rock harmless from any liability or expense, save and except the sum referred to in Section 2 above. SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. ADOPTED: September 7, 1965 APPROVED: City Clerk Mayor /
