3345 RESOLUTION NO. 3 ,345 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF WALD INDUSTRIES, INC. , FOR A TRUCK-MOUNTED STRIPING MACHINE; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT THEREFOR; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, pursuant to advertisement for bids for a truck- mounted striping machine, bids were received pursuant to specifications therefor according to law; and WHEREAS, the bid of Wald Industries, Inc. , in the sum of Thirty-Five Thousand Five Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($35,500.00) less trade-in allowance, or a net bid of Thirty-One Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($31,000.00) , was the lowest responsible and responsive bid under the specifications for bidding; and WHEREAS, available funds for the purchase of said equipment was inadequate and the said Wald Industries, Inc. , subsequently reduced its bid to the sum of Thirty-Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($30,000.00) ; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors to accept the low bid of Wald Industries, Inc. , in the sum of Thirty Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($30,000.00) ; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The bid of Wald Industries, Inc. , being the lowest responsible and responsive bid as reduced by negotiation, is hereby accepted in the sum of Thirty Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($30,000.00) for a truck-mounted striping machine for use by the City of Little Rock; provided, however, that shipment thereof be made by Wald Industries, Inc. , within sixty (60) days from issuance of a purchase order therefor. SECTION 2. The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed, upon receipt of and a showing of said performance by the said equipment, to issue such warrant or warrants in payment thereof as shall be necessary. -2- SECTION 3.
