A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF DAMAGES TO
CHURCHMAN-RHEA DRUG COMPANY ARISING FROM A
COLLISION BETWEEN ITS AUTOMOBILE AND A CITY-OWNED
VEHICLE IN THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-ONE AND
73/100 DOLLARS ($151.73) ; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, on the 24th day of March, 1965, an automobile
owned by Churchman-Rhea Drug Company collided with a City-owned
vehicle at Tanglewood Shopping Center Parking Lot in the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, and, as a result thereof, was damaged
in the sum of One Hundred Fifty-One and 73/100 Dollars ($151.73) ;
and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Little Rock to
award payment to Churchman-Rhea Drug Company for the damages to
its automobile upon receipt of releases in favor of the City of
Little Rock, its agents and employees;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. The claim of Churchman-Rhea Drug Company in the
sum of One Hundred Fifty-One and 73/100 Dollars ($151.73) for
damages to its automobile arising from a collision between it and
a City-owned vehicle is hereby acknowledged and accepted.
SECTION 2. The City Manager and Director of Finance are
hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant
or warrants in payment of the claim referred to in Section 1 upon
receipt from Churchman-Rhea Drug Company of a release in form as
prepared by the office of the City Attorney, running in favor of
the City of Little Rock, its agents and employees.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
