RESOLUTION NO. 2,966
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO CONVEY BY A QUITCLAIM DEED
CERTAIN CITY PROPERTY TO JOHN P. CORN; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock owns certain property
hereinafter described and did, according to law, call for
bids thereon; did advertise for same; and
WHEREAS , the bid of John P. Corn in the amount of Six
Thousand Six Hundred and No/106 Dollars ($6,600.00) cash was
the highest responsible and responsive bid submitted; and
WHEREAS , it is the desire of the Board of Directors of
the City of Little Rock to sell and convey said property by
Quitclaim Deed to John P. Corn;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. The bid of John P. Corn in the amount of
Six Thousand Six Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($6, 60u.OU) for
the purchase of certain city owned property, hereinafter
described, is hereby accepted.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute a Quitclaim Deed in favor of John P. Corn
conveying unto the said John P. Corn all of the interests of the
City of Little hock in and to the said property, which Quitclaim
Deed, including the description of the said property, is in form
and substance as follows :

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS :
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County,
Arkansas, on the day of , 1963,
by Resolution No. , authorized and directed
the Mayor, together with the City Clerk, to convey to John P.
Corn property in the City of Little Rock, hereinafter described;
NOW, THEREFORE, WE, BYRON MORSE and PAULINE G. BEESON,
Mayor and City Clerk respectively of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, a municipal corporation, organized, chartered and
existing under authority of the Laws of the State of Arkansas,
for and in consideration of the sum of Six Thousand Six Hundred
and No/100 Dollars ($6, 600.00) , cash in hand paid, the receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged, acting for and in behalf of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, do hereby convey, alien and quit-
claim unto John P. Corn, his heirs and assigns forever, subject
to the following covenants, the following lands lying in the City
of Little Rock, County of Pulaski, State of Arkansas, to-wit :
A Portion of Lots 2 and 3 of Allen & Marguands Subdivision
of Block 358 of the Original City of Little Rock, more
particularly described as ;
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 2
thence east 47 . 7 feet along south line of Lot
2 to a point, thence north 64.0 feet along a line
parallel to the west line of Lot 2 to a point,
thence easterly 50 . 3 feet to a point which is
2. 3 feet west of the east line of Lot 2, thence
south 67 .2 + feet along a line parralled with
the east line of Lot 2 to the south line of
Lot 2, thence east along the south lines of
Lots 2 and 3 a distance of 6. 1 feet + to a
point, thence along a deflection angle of 45
degrees 34 minutes to the left a distance of
61. 7 feet + to the south right-of-way line of
Lincoln Avenue, thence northwesterly 63. 6 feet +
along the south right-of-way line of Lincoln

of beining.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same unto John P. Corn, and
unto his heirs and assigns forever, together with all and
singular, the tenements, appurtenances and hereditaments
thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City of Little Rock, a municipal
corporation, has caused these presents to be signed by its
Mayor, its Clerk and its corporate seal to be herewith affixed,
all in accordance with and pursuant to a Resolution of its
Board of Directors, duly and regularly adopted, a copy of which
is hereto attached and made a part hereof, this day of
1963.
