2334 A, 1)V RESOLUTION NO. 233 + A RESOLUTION EMPLOYING MAX A. MEHLBURGER ENGINEERS TO PERFORM CERTAIN ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE WIDENING AND PAVING OF HAYES STREET BETWEEN CANTRELL ROAD AND ASHER AVENUE; PROVIDING A FEE FOR SAID SERVICES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES . BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. Max A. Mehlburger Engineers is hereby employed to prepare plans and specifications for the widening and paving of Hayes Street between Cantrell Road and Asher Avenue in the City of Little Rock at a fee equal to Three and One-Half Per Cent (31s%) of the cost of construction of said project. SECTION 2. Max A. Mehlburger Engineers is hereby employed to furnish such supervision of the construction project authorized in Section 1 hereof as the City may from time to time, by Resolution of the Board of Directors, demand. For such supervision services said Max A. Mehlburger Engineers shall be paid a feetased on the following: One and One-Half Per Cent (124) of the cost of construction for such portion of said project as is started and completed in 1959 . Two Per Cent (2%) of the cost of construction for such por- tion of said project as is started and completed in 1960. SECTION 3 . The services herein required do not include survey of property nor inspection. Inspection work shall be done either by the City' s forces or Max A. Mehlburger Engineers at the election of the City. If the inspection personnel is furnished by Max A. Mehlburger Engineers the City shall reimburse said Max A. Mehlburger Engineers for actual payroll and payroll tax cost plus transportation expense. The surveys and plat preparation of property to be acquired for right of way shall not be a part of this contract. These services shall be performed either by the City or Max A. Mehlburger Engineers at the election of the City. If Max A. Mehlburger Engineers performs these services, payment therefor shall be the cost of labor plus I -2- One Hundred Per Cent (100%) , plus allowable expenses such as trans- portation, stakes, blueprints, etc. SECTION 4.
