RESOLUTION NO. 1766
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE AN EASEMENT DEED ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK TO LITTLE ROCK-PULASKI DRAINAGE DISTRICT NO. 2 OF
PULASKI COUNTY, PROVIDING FOR THE USE BY SAID DISTRICT OF
CERTAIN PARCELS uF LAND WITHIN SAID DISTRICT AND BELONG-
ING TO SAID CITY;, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, on October 16, 1947, the City of Little Hock
granted to Little Rock-Pulaski Drainage District No. 2 an ease-
ment deed to certain lands in the City of Little Rock, Pulaski
County, Arkansas, to be used for the purposes of said District,
and
WHEREAS, it has been found that there has been an error in
the description and that certain of the lands conveyed were not
in fact the lands intended to be conveyed, and
WHEREAS, the Dis trict has re-conveyed to the City of Little
Rock certain of the lands conveyed by error and has petitioned
the City Council of the City of Little Rock for a deed to the
lands originally intended to be conveyed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE, ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are
hereby authorized to execute and deliver to Little Rock-Pulaski
Drainage District No. 2 in consideration of the aforesaid, an
easement deed to the following lands located in Pulaski County,
State of Arkansas, to-wit :
Lot Five (5) , Six (6) except a triangle in the SW
Corner 23 feet north and to a point 10 feet to
East of present Pump House on South line of Lot 6,
East Half Lot Seven (Ez7 ), Block Fifty Eight (58),
Industrial Park Addition to the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2. It is ascertained and declared by the City
Council of Little Rock that the City is in urgent and immediate
need of the protection of life, health and property afforded by
the U. S. Government in the area described. It is therefarre
declared that an emergency exists; that this resolution is
necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace,
health and safety and that this resolution shall take effect
and be in force from and after its passage.
