"S&CTIJTdl. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corpor-
ation to engage in the selling at wholesale or the wholesc le
distributions of fruits and /or vegetables and /or other provisions
within the City of Little ;rock without first obttaining Ei license
theref or.
"SECTION 2. Every person, firm, or corporation, before eni;a ;ing
in business for the purposes stflted in .'section 1 shall rime an
application for each establishment maintained and o a ed by
him or it upon a blank to be furnished by the City I and in
which application the applicant shall give the f'ollowinf; infor-
nation: Name, address, numbe r• of ustablishments maintained and
operated, nature of business, method of distribution used,
whether it be selling; direct from a storeroom, railroad car,
iv)gon, truel., or other vehicle, or frorl a vc. grant lot or stand
or otherwise, and an affidavit made that the products offered
for sale e m (;rown or produced b, the seller.

shall mean an establishment which is engaged in selling; and /or
distributing at vrholesale fruits and /or vegetables F:nd /or other
provisions and shall rienn any building, storeroom, freight car,
wagon, trcick, or other vehicle, or any vacant lot or stand :+ mere
such fruits or vegetables and /or other provisions, are kept, stomd,
packed, or offered for sale nt wholesale, but nothing; in this
ordinance shall be c,)nstrued to riean t1►at the license herein shall
apply to trucks, wal;ons, or other vehicles used solely for delivery
purposes acid not for direct selling from such trucks, :�agons, or
other vehicles.
"6��CTION 6. "he word "provisions" as used in this ordinance shall
mean: • fish, fresh or dried or Nickles;
candies; cheese; butter; eggs; poultry; or nuts, but shall not
include any artinle;s co:nrionly .)asked rand sold in sealed, airtight
cans or containers.
"6'UTIUN 7. The Mayor of the City of Little flock shall appoint an
Inspector or Inspectors to enforce this Ordinance end it shall be
the duty of said Inspector or Inspectors regularly to inspect all
such establishments and report tl.e condition of said establishelelits
to the Health Officer of said '71ty of Little Rocl-, and it shall be
the duty Of the .IIeealth Officer, irlmediately upon receiving a report
from said Inspector or Inspectors that said establishments are
maintained in an unsanitary and unhealthful condition, to make a
personal inspection and to take such steps as fre necessary to
compel the maintenance of such establishments in such condition as
may be necessary to protect the health of the citiz,ens of Little
Rock.
" LliTiON 8. No license issued by the City of Little 7zoek for
peddling siiall be deemed in any way to supersede this Ordinance
or to exempt any person, fixmi, or corporation c,?riing under the
classific, -Aiori of this Ordinance from taking out a license as
provided for by this Jrdinance.
"SECT101d 9. Ido .section of this Ordinance shell apply to farmers
or other growers who offer for sale vii ±hin the City of Little lZock
products of their oven growing, vihich products so offered for sale
are wholly grown within the State of Arkansris.

license under the provisions of this Ordinance shell keep the said
license displayed in his place of business.

Ordinance without having; first obtained a license so to do shall,
upon conviction, be fined riot less than (075.00) and riot more than

after be declared null, void, or inoperative, the other Sections
shall nevertheless remain in full force and effectt�"
