UAN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE BUSINESS OF STORING, TRANSPORTATION AND /OR SELLING OF LI�4UORS <.T RETAIL OR ', HOLESALE IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS TO BE A PRIVILEGE: LEVYING A TAX THEREFORE; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUAN OF PERMITS; REGULATING THE SALE OF LIQUOR; FrCING THE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION HEREOF, AIM FOR OTHER PURPOSES." AND PASSED AND APPROVED 11"ARCH 200 1935. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK: Section 1. From and after the passage of this ordinance, the fourth paragraph of Sec. 5 of Ordinance =5225 shall read as follows: "It shall also be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, to sell, offer for sale or give away any such liquors on Christmas Day" thereb striking out the words "Fourth of July". Section 2. 71hereas the retail liquor dealers of North Little Rock are permitted to remain open on July 4th, and whereas the requiring of the liquor dealers of Little Rock to close their doors on the Fourth of July serves no useful purpose and works a hardship upon the dealers of said City and whereas it would be for the benefit of the peace, health, safety and public welfare of the citizens of the City of Little Rock, for the liquor dealers of Little Rock to have the privilege of opening their stores on July 4th, now therefore in emergency is hereby declared to exist in this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect rom and after its passage. assed: June 29th, 1936 ttest : City Clerk.
