5397�34-,I ORDINANCE NO. 5397 AN ORDINANCE 1RANTING TO THE STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF LOUISIANA THE RIGHT AND AUTHORITY TO MAINTAIN A S ";ITCH OR SPUR TR:`CK ON CERTAIN PARTS OF EAST STREET AND ACROSS TO EAST SECOND STREET: AND CON- TINUING IN FORCE AND EFFECT ORDINANCE NO. 2011 PASSED OCTOBER 20, 1913, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF -THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK: SECTION 1. That the Standard Oil Company of Louisiana be and it is hereby granted the right and authority to maintain a switch or s.ur track on East Street from a connection with the spur track of the Little Rock Furniture Company on East Street, thence north from said connection with East Street across East Second Street to the Arkansas River for and during a period be- ginning January 1, 1937, and expiring January 1, 1952; provided, the said grantees herein shall, in the event said street be opened, pave the space between the rails of said switch or spur track and two feet on both sides thereof, of such material as remaining portions of such street may be paved, and the rails shall be on a level with said street; and, provided further, that no cars shall be allowed to stand on said track so as to interfere with traffic on said street on penalty of forfeiture of all rights and privileges granted hereunder; provided further, that said switch or spur track shall be built on said streets upon the grade now established upon the same or as may hereafter be established, and the city reserves the right to change or alter said grades and when such change or alteration shall have been made, said grantee shall at its aw n expense change the grade of its tracks so as to conform to the change in such grade. SECTION 2. Said grantee or its successors in estate, shall pay annually on the first day of January of each and every year from and after the passage of this ordinance, the sum of yr50.00 until the expiration of this grant. .% n . , —s SECTION 3.
