WHEREAS, the approach to the Broadway treet
Bridge across the Arkansas River is now being construc-
ted, and it beco -,es necessary to replace the cables -.nd
wires of the Tittle Rock Railway & Electric Company,
and
WHEREAS, on account of the volume of traffic
which will necessarily lzse said bridge, the approaches
thereto and the adjoining streets, the public safety
demands that such wires and cables at and near the
approaches of said bridge upon the Little Rock side of
the Arkansas river be placed y-nderground.
NOIrT THEREFORE, Be it Resolved by the City
Council of the City of Little Rock :that;
The Tittle Rock Railway & Flectric ComparV
are hereby ordered and directed "iithin a period of
thirty days from the date of the passage of tH^is reso-
lution to place its r!ires and cables crossing Nmxxtxyx
Or Paralleling Broadway Street at and near the approach-
es of the Broadway Bridge across the Arkansas River, and
other vires e.nc! cables .,rhich must necessarily be moved
and replaced on account of the construction of said bride,
and the approaches, underground. at such points and places
