RESOLUTION NO. 13,405
3 A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT THE ROSE LAW FIRM AS LEGAL
4 COUNSEL TO ASSIST WITH THE ISSUANCE OF FOUR MILLION, SIX
5 HUNDRED THOUSAND ($4,600,000.00) DOLLARS IN SHORT -TERM
6 FINANCING NOTES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the City has decided pursuant to Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 20,505 (November
9 15, 2011) to issue Four Million, Six Hundred Thousand ($4,600,000.00) of short -term debt to finance the
10 purchase of certain items; and,
11 WHEREAS, a committee has reviewed the competitive qualification proposals of six (6) law firms
12 and determined that the Rose Law Firm is the most qualified to assist with the issuance of this debt, and
13 to fulfill other obligations of the City;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
15 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with the Rose Law Firm to
17 serve as legal counsel for the issuance of short term financing instruments pursuant to Little Rock, Ark.,
18 Ordinance No. 20,505 (November 15, 2011).
19 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
20 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
21 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
22 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
23 ordinance.
24 Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
25 with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
