A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
APPROVE INDIVIDUAL WATER TIE -ONS PURSUANT TO
ADOPTED PROCEDURES.
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Board of Directors adopted
Resolution No. 7,893 on February 2, 1988 providing for City
Board approval of individual water tie -ons outside the City
limits of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, an expedited procedure is needed to avoid
overburdening the Board's agenda and causing further time delays
for individual water service applicants; and
WHEREAS, the requested tie -ons will have been reviewed
and approved by the Office of Comprehensive Planning, the Little
Rock Planning Commission, the County Planning Commission, or the
Chief of the Environmental Codes Section of the Public Works
Department, as applicable, prior to consideration by the City
Manager; and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Office of Comprehensive
Planning or his authorized agent will prepare and submit to the
Board of Directors a monthly report listing: (a) the number,
type, and address of tie -on requests approved by the City
Manager on behalf of the Board of Directors; and (b) information
on agreements to petition to annex included in Water and /or
Sewer Service Agreements; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors will continue to review
sewer and water main extensions, individual sewer tie -ons and
all tie -on applications which involve extraordinary exceptions
relating to the public health; safety and welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
approve individual water tie -ons on behalf of the Board of

Directors within the City's extraterritorial jurisdiction and in
areas outside of the extraterritorial jurisdiction.
SECTION 2. Prior to action by the City Manager,
subdivision and zoning approval, as applicable, must have been
granted by the Office of Comprehensive Planning, the Little Rock
Planning Commission, the County Planning Commission or the Chief
of Environmental Codes of the Public Works Department, as
appropriate.
SECTION 3. A Water and /or Sewer Service Agreement,
including an agreement to petition to annex, and a Bill of
Assurance must have been first executed by the applicant and
reviewed and approved by the City.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
