3 A RESOLUTION TO EXPRESS THE WILLINGNESS OF THE
4 CITY OF LITTE ROCK TO UTILIZE FEDERAL -AID MONIES
5 FOR THE FOLLOWING CITY PROJECT: JOB 061121, LITTLE
6 ROCK BIKE CONNECTOR (S) F.A.P. STPU- 9253(50); AND FOR
7 OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock understands Federal -Aid Surface
10 Transportation Program Attributable funds are available for certain City projects up to
11 the maximum federal -aid available, and
12 WHEREAS, preliminary engineering will be funded with 80% federal -aid funds
13 with the City providing the 20% matching share;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
15 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
16 Section 1. The City will participate in accordance with its designated
17 responsibilities of the project.
18 Section 2. The City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized and directed
19 to execute all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the
20 construction of this City project.
21 Section 3. The City pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas
22 State Highway and Transportation Department to initiate action to implement this
23 project.
24 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence,
25 clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or
26 unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining

portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
resolution. '
Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that
are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent
of such inconsistency.
