In 534 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE PROVISION OF 1999 SUMMER YOUTH RECREATION AND EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS IN LITTLE ROCK. 1,81 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has been committed to prevention, intervention and treatment programs to enhance public safety, community- building, and youth development and, WHEREAS, the PIT Advisory Group recommended the use of $350,000 funds from the 1998 PIT program contracts for 1999 summer youth recreation and employment program contracts. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contract negotiations with the following organizations for the provision of 1999 summer youth programs in Little Rock. 1. Ballet Arkansas $ 4,143 2. LR Parks — Dunbar Garden Project $18,813 3. AR Cares (UAMS) $20,000 4. Camp Pfeifer $20,000 5. Pankey Community Improvement Assn $20,000 6. Centers for Youth and Families — Shepherd's Ranch $21,624 7. Black Community Developers, Inc. $22,069 8. Centers for Youth and Families — Emergency Shelter $22,331 9. Celebration Ministries $22,581 . 10. LOVE, Inc. $23,600 11. Communities in Schools — CVSS $23,952 12. Boys Club — Southwest Center $24,280 13. Boy Scouts — Quapaw Council $24,520 14. Recovery 2005 $24,550 15. Boys Club — Penick Center $24,758 16. Boys Club — Thrasher Center $24,868 SECTION 2. The contracts' terms shall be from June 1, 1999 to September 1, 1999. SECTION 3. Funding for these contracts shall not exceed $350,000 and shall come from funds remaining from the 1998 PIT program contracts.
