PLANNING CONSIDERATIONS
No adverse comments have been received from any reviewing
agency regarding this application. There is no specific
plan covering this location. However, with the exception of
the two houses immediately south of the large church in the
triangle between Geyer Springs and Mabelvale Pike, the
development pattern of the west side of Geyer Springs Road
is pretty well cast.
This house is overgrown with shrubs and weeds and it is
apparent that this property has outlived its usefulness for
residential purposes. The proposed zoning would permit a
reasonable transition from the heavier commercial activities
to the west and the residential activities to the east.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval.
COMMISSION ACTION:
The applicant was present, and there were no objectors, and
after a brief discussion, the Commission moved to approve
the application as filed. The motion was passed - 10 ayes,
0 noes and 1 absent.
