BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
May 15, 1950
The Board of Adjustment met in the Mayor's Conference Room, Monday,,
MAY 15, 1950 at 2:00 i.M. with the following members present:
Mr. W. H. Marak, Chairman Mr. Louis Tarlawski
Per. Marren Baldwin Mr. Marion Bute
Mr, Bruce Anderson Acting Director
The first application was for Enice Thomas, Docket No. 16-509 1318 West 19th
Street, described as the East I of Lot 9 and West 29 of Lot 10, Block 1#
Flemming & Bradford Addition, Zoned KC" Two -Family; requesting waiver of
side yard and lot area so as to permit the construction of an additional
room on the rear of the building.
Enis Thomas was present and told the Board that she wished to add an 18" x
129 bedroom on the rear of her house. There were no objectors to the appli-
cation.
Mr. Anderson made the motion, seconded by Mr. Baldwin, that the application
be approved. The motion carried.
The nex_:, enplication was Docket No. 77- 50, Willie Martin, 806 Schiller.,
described as -she South of Foot 11, 6, Faust9s tion, Zoned "C"

as to permit construction of an additional room and bath on the North side
of the building.
There was no one present to represent this application. Mr. Tarlowski made
the motion, seconded by Mr. Anderson, that the application be approved.
The last applicationvas Docket No. 18-50 , Jimmy doses, Southeast corner of
North Filmore and KsvarfauL;h Blvd., described as the North 901 of Lots 10-11-12f
Block 5, Phil platers Sub of R of mtain Perk Addition, Zoned "Is' Commercial;
requesting waiver of yard space requirements.
Mr. Moses was present and told the Board that the; wished to construct a one-
story brick building, part of which is to be for music supplies and they plan
to rent out part of the building. They wish to set up to the front property
line and leave 151 from the rear property line„ However, they plan to have a
5' set back at the corner of the building. There was some discussion about
the front set back as Mr. Buts felt t-`-_i=y should set back 151 from the front
for the safety of -Traffic conditions. € he Board asked Mr. noses if they would
set back 109 from the front and he then wanted to know if he did this, could
he also set back 101 instead of the planned 15" from the rear property line.
Mr. Baldvin made the motion, seconded by Mr. Tar' owski that the application
be approved our the condition that there its a front and rear set tack of 101.
The meeting was then adjourned.
