BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
January 16, 1950
The Board of Adjustment met in the Council Chamber, Monday,
Janugry 16, 1950 at 1:30 P.M. with the following members
present:
Mr. Marak, Chairman Mr. Louis Tarlowski
Mr. Warren Baldwin Mr. Marion Butz, Acting Director
Docket No. 25-49 Lawrence Witherspoon, South of West
36th Street and between Cross & High Streets projected,
tentatively described as Lots 1-27, Valley View Addition,
Zoned "K" Heavy Industrial District; requesting a change
of front yard requirements from 25 feet to 20 feet on
Lots 1-27.
Mr. Witherspoon was present and told the Board that due to
the slope of the ground a 25' set back would not be practicable.
The street was considered to be a cul-de-sac and not a thorofare;
therefore Mr. Tarlowski moved that the application be approved,
seconded by Mr. Baldwin. The motion carried.
Docket No. 26 1,9 B. L. Nichols, 1415 South Taylor Street,
described as Lot 21, Block ll, Oak forest Addition; zoned "B"
Resicence District; requesting waiver of side yard space re-
quirements so as to be able to attach a car porte to the North
side of his house, leaving one foot space to North side of
property line. Mr. Nichols was not present. Mr. Tarlowski made
the motion that'the application be approved, seconded by Mr. Baldwin,
on condition that it be an open car porte only. The motion carried.
There being no further business, the board adjourned.

tentatively described as Lots 1-27, Valley View Addition,
Zoned "K" Heavy Industrial District; requesting a change
of front yard requirements from 25 feet to 20 feet on
Lots 127.
Mr. Witherspoon was present and told the Board that due to
the slope of the ground a 251 set ?sack would not be practicable.
The street was considered to be a cul-de-sac and not a thorofare;
therefore Mr. Tarlowski moved that the application be approved,
seconded by Mr. Baldwin. The motion carried.
