15493 1 RESOLUTION NO. 15,493 2 3 AN RESOLUTION TO ALLOW THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO 4 A CONTRACT WITH CHI ST. VINCENT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO 5 EXCEED ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($150,000.00), 6 TO PROVIDE PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENINGS,RANDOM DRUG OR 7 ALCOHOL TESTING AND POST-ACCIDENT DRUG OR ALCOHOL 8 TESTING; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the City often requires Pre-Employment Screenings for drug or alcohol abuse, and also 11 engages in random Drug or Alcohol Screenings for employees in appropriate safety sensitive positions, or 12 post-accident screenings for employees that have been in accidents which involve City vehicles;and, 13 WHEREAS,pursuant to Bid No. 1060,CHI St. Vincent was the successful bidder; and, 14 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 15 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 16 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with all St.Vincent to conduct 17 Pre-Employment Screenings, appropriate random for safety sensitive employees, and Post-Accident Tests 18 for drugs or alcohol, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars($150,000.00),for a 19 term of one(1)-year with two(2)additional one(1)-year terms. 20 Section 2. Funds for this agreement are available the City's General Fund Budget, Account No. 21 102701-61350,and other relevant Department Budgets. 22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 23 word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and 25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 26 ordinance. 27 Section 4. Repealer.
