3 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE TO THE
4 AUTHORIZED CONTRACT AMOUNT FOR ENGINEERING
5 COMPLIANCE AND CONSTRUCTION INCORPORATED, IN AN
6 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS
7 ($18,000.00),FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE
8 DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING,JR., DRIVE DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT
9 PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

I l WHEREAS, Engineering, Compliance & Construction, Inc., was selected through a professional
12 statements of qualifications process for Engineering Consultant Services, Bid No. 17201; and,
13 WHERAS,it is desirable to increase the contract ceiling prices authorized under Resolution No. 14,872
14 to provide for additional services for the Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive, from 2191 Street to 19"' Street,
15 Project to further address the existing drainage problems.
16 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
17 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
18 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to approve an amendment to the contract with
19 Engineering,Compliance&Construction,Inc.,for Engineering Services and to increase the contract ceiling
20 price from the previously authorized Ninety Thousand Dollars($90,000.00)by Eighteen Thousand Dollars
21 ($18,000.00)to a new contract total of One Hundred Eight Thousand Dollars($108,000.00).
22 Section 2. The cost for the contract will be funded from the existing project allocations for the Capital
23 Improvement Bonds for Streets and Drainage and the 3/8-Cent Capital Improvement Sales and
24 Compensating Use Tax for constructing Street and Drainage Improvement Projects as authorized by
25 Resolution No. 14,803.
26 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
32 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
