3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH RIVER CITY HYDRAULIC COMPANY, IN
5 THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF TWO MILLION, ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-
6 TWO THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED SIXTY DOLLARS ($2,152,160.00),
7 FOR THE PURCHASE OF EIGHT (8) AUTOMATED SIDE-LOADER
8 REFUSE TRUCKS, UTILIZING THE NATIONAL JOINT POWER
9 ALLIANCE (NJPA) CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, Public Works is in need of eight (8) Automated Side-Loader Refuse Trucks to replace
12 older units that have excessive maintenance expenses and down time; and,
13 WHEREAS, by utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract, the City can purchase
14 eight (8) Automated Side-Loader Refuse Trucks from River City Hydraulic Company for the Public
15 Works Department, at a cost of Two Million, One Hundred Fifty-Two Thousand, One Hundred Sixty
16 Dollars($2,152,160.00)
17 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
20 River City Hydraulic Company for the purchase of eight (8) Automated Side-Loader Refuse Trucks,
21 utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract, for the total amount of Two Million, One
22 Hundred Fifty-Two Thousand, One Hundred Sixty Dollars($2,152,160.00).
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Public Works Capital Assets — Vehicles
24 account.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
31 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
