3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND THE BOARD OF
4 DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO
5 CERTIFY CITY LIENS ATTACHED ON PRIVATE PROPERTY FOR
6 WORK PERFORMED ON PRIVATE PROPERTY AND TO FORWARD
7 TO THE PULASKI COUNTY TREASURER'S OFFICE FOR INCLUSION
8 IN THE PROPERTY OWNER'S ANNUAL TAX BILL; AND FOR OTHER
9 PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS,when the City is required to perform work on private property, a lien is placed upon the
12 private property in an effort to recoup some of the costs for that work the City performs; and,
13 WHEREAS, the lien information must be compiled and sent to the Pulaski County Treasurer's
14 Office for inclusion in the owner's annual tax bill and money collected in this manner is remitted to the
15 City by the County; and,
16 WHEREAS,the City is presently seeking to certify 110 liens placed upon private property during the
17 year of 2014, for a total amount of Twenty-Eight Thousand,Nine Hundred Fifty-Four and 78/100 Dollars
18 ($28,954.78); and,
19 WHEREAS, in accordance with Arkansas Code #14-54-904, the City liens placed upon private
20 property in this manner must be certified to the Pulaski County Treasurer's Office in the form of a
21 Resolution forwarded to the County Treasurer, no later than December 1, 2014;
22 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
24 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby approves the certification of 110 City liens, in the total
25 amount of Twenty-Eight Thousand, Nine Hundred Fifty-Four and 78/100 Dollars ($28,954.78), to be
26 forwarded to the Pulaski County Treasurer's Office for inclusion on the 2014 tax bill of the owners of the
27 properties upon which the liens have been place.
28 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
29 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
32 resolution.
33 Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent

1 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
