RESOLUTION NO. 13,979
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock owns a significant number of buildings from which City
operations are conducted; and,
WHEREAS, the City purchases insurance coverage to insure against loss and damage to City -owned
buildings, facilities and other properties; and,
WHEREAS, FM Global was selected as the provider in response to the most recent Request for
Proposals; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed renewal will represent the third year of a maximum seven (7) -year term
described in said Request for Proposal;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the current contract with FM Global to provide
Property Insurance coverage for City buildings, facilities and other properties, for another year effective
October 1, 2014.
Section 2. The cost for providing this coverage has been included in the 2014 Budget line items.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
