139751 RESOLUTION NO. 13,975 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH J. A. RIGGS TRACTOR COMPANY, IN THE 5 TOTAL AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-SIX THOUSAND, 6 TWO HUNDRED FORTY-EIGHT DOLLARS ($126,248.00), TO 7 COMPLETELY REBUILD THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF A 2007 8 CATERPILLAR D8T DOZER, FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS 9 DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has determined that it is imperative to completely rebuild 12 the undercarriage of a 2007 Caterpillar D8T Dozer for the continued operation of a vital piece of 13 equipment which supports the program of the Solid Waste Collection Division; and, 14 WHEREAS, the competitive bidding process was utilized under Bid #14161 to determine that J. A. 15 Riggs Tractor Company submitted the most responsive and responsible bid, in the amount of One 16 Hundred Twenty -Six Thousand, Two Hundred Forty -Eight Dollars ($126,248.00); 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with J. 20 A. Riggs Tractor Company in the amount of One Hundred Twenty -Six Thousand, Two Hundred Forty - 21 Eight Dollars ($126,248.00), to completely rebuild the undercarriage of a 2007 Caterpillar D8T Dozer for 22 the Public Works Department. 23 Section 2. Funds for the purchase of this unit are allocated in the Fleet Services Department 24 Equipment Repair account. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer.
