3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD
4 A CONTRACT TO BURKHALTER TECHNOLOGIES, INC., IN THE
5 AMOUNT OF THREE HUNDRED SEVENTY-SEVEN THOUSAND,
6 SEVEN HUNDRED NINE AND 84/100 DOLLARS ($377,709.84) FOR
7 IMPROVEMENTS TO SCENIC DRIVE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

9 WHEREAS, bids were solicited for Project No. 13 -B -3E, Scenic Drive Improvements, Bid #14-162;
10 and,
11 WHEREAS, Burkhalter Technologies, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
12 specifications.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
14 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Burkhalter

Technologies, Inc., for Scenic Drive Improvements in the amount of Three Hundred Seventy -Seven
Thousand, Seven Hundred Nine and 84/100 Dollars ($377,709.84), which is the bas bid price of Three
Hundred Fourteen Thousand, Seven Hundred Twenty -Eight and 20/100 Dollars ($314,728.20), plus 20%
contingencies.
SECTION 2. Funding for this project is available from the 2013 Capital Improvement Bonds for
Streets and Drainage as authorized by Resolution No. 13,699.
SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
resolution.
SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
